(1) Consultancy inspections. One of Peninsula’s team of health and safety experts will visit your practice and carry out health and safety inspections in respect of the physical risks posed by the premises, equipment, processes, chemicals, etc. A report on the inspection will be provided giving observations, recommendations and setting out the priority for taking any necessary actions in accordance with best practice and the requirements of health and safety law.
(2) Management systems. Peninsula’s consultants will put into place a system that will ensure that the business will manage health and safety issues in accordance with its legal responsibilities. The system will include policies and procedures for assessments, first aid, fire, employee training and consultation, reporting accidents, and keeping registers and records.
(3) Advice and indemnity. Clients have access to and advice service, available 24-hours every day, advising on health and safety issues. The service is supported by personal visits to clients, where necessary to deal with specific health and safety issues. In addition, an indemnity funds the legal costs of defending health and safety prosecutions, subject to policy conditions and advice guidelines.
(1) Contracts’ consultancy. One of Peninsula’s team of personnel consultants visit your practice to prepare bespoke individual statements of the main terms of employment, as required by law. They provide appropriate employee handbooks and set up management information systems and employment reference documentation.
(2) Advice. We are then able to offer an advice service, available 24-hours every day, advising on our clients’ specific employment enquiries.
(3) Insurance indemnity and Employment Tribunal representation. Our clients have an insurance indemnity which funds the defence of any Employment Tribunal claims that may be lodged against them and the benefit of selective settlement/award cover, subject to policy conditions and advice guidelines.
Peninsula’s in-house team of experts and Advocates will handle all claims from inception to conclusion.
In addition, Peninsula will regularly update you in respect of legal requirements for health and safety and employment/personnel issues to ensure that you are working within the law.
