Professional Mortgages

If you are looking to buy your first property, or simply remortgage for a better deal, then Scottish Widows Bank could be able to help.

As an endorsed AOP member services provider, they can offer you a range of products to suit your requirements.  Enhanced terms have been negotiated for the Professional Mortgage and are available to fully qualified optometrists who are members of the AOP.

The Professional Mortgage allows you to borrow up to 90% of the value of your property, with no higher lending charge to pay, and comes with a unique combination of benefits, including the ability to offset.

By offsetting your savings against your mortgage balance you pay less in interest and this can either reduce the ‘term’ of your mortgage or reduce your ‘monthly repayment’ – you choose what suits you best, depending on your circumstances.

Another feature of the mortgage allows you to apply for additional funds against any equity in your property. A revolving credit facility, Mortgage Reserve Account, offers borrowing at their standard variable rate, for any purpose up to an agreed limit (subject to their underwriting criteria).

Additional remortgage package incentives are also available.

Scottish Widows Bank specialises in offering innovative solutions for professionals.  Their unique understanding of the professional market allows them to assess applications on an individual basis, taking account of individual circumstances and career paths.
