UV Radiation and the Eye

UV radiation (UVR) can adversely affect nearly all ocular tissues.  Patient education concerning the hazards and myths of UV will lead to a common-sense selection of proper protective eyewear.  This course will describe the acute as well as the potentially adverse chronic effects of UVR and blue light, their mecahnisms of action and prevention.
