to maintain a watching brief on clinical developments within other optometric bodies and groups e.g. behavioural optometry
to monitor VDU and occupational vision standard forms and to make recommendations where necessary
to provide representation on outside committees e.g. College Committees such as CE and Standards Sub Committee; DOCET; Institute of Optometry Management Committee; Sports Vision Association; GOC Entry Standards Committee
to advise other professions, employers and organizations on visual standards. To update this information annually.
to liaise with other AOP committees on relevant matters, especially the PAC
to maintain a regular dialogue with the DVLA regarding visual field screening, drivers vision etc and to report quarterly to the Board, starting in September 01
to work closely with the College of Optometrists on the Joint strategic Planning Group
to provide representation on the Primary Care Project Group and report back to the Board
to oversee the provision of CE by the AOP and develop a programme of CE
