Memorandum & Articles

The Memorandum and Articles of Association are the rules by which the AOP is run. They set out the purposes for which the AOP exists together with the AOP's constitution.

In January 2002 the Memorandum and Articles of Association underwent their first major revision since 1946 when the Association of Optical Practitioners was formed. The revision made the AOP's governing body, the Council, more representative of the diversity of AOP membership.

Subsequently the Memorandum and Articles of Association have been further revised. The current Memorandum and Articles of Association, which were last revised at the Association's AGM on 21 May 2008, are set out in the .pdf file below.
