Scottish Council

The Scottish Council consists of councillors elected as Councillors by Locality to represent constituencies within the national borders of Scotland and all Councillors by Function who are resident (within the meaning of byelaw 22 of the Elections to Council Byelaws 2003) in a constituency by locality within the national borders of Scotland.

The objects of the Scottish Council are those of the Association nationally as they apply to Scotland and are listed in the Memorandum of Association of the Association of Optometrists.  The Scottish Council reports to the board through the Public Affairs Committee.

The Scottish Council Chairman is Jonthan Waugh, an optometrist from Glasgow.
